Tourism of Tomorrow Awards 2014

An award-winning 1 92 km long cross-border route that links rural
communities in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro and preserves their natural, cultural and
spiritual heritage. Winner of the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Tourism of
Tomorrow award.

Our Contributions

Trails

Identification, assessment and selection of the Albanian share of 192 km route.

Signalizations

Marking and signposting of the selected routes according to the Albanian standard.

Map

Creation of topographic map and descriptions of the main trail in cooperation with Huber Cartography.

Training

● Trained 16 homestays, guesthouses & shepherd huts in 10 communities across 3 countries. ● Training of 36 local mountain guides licensed by the German Alpine Club.

Marketing

Four TV and radio productions including a popular 30 min BR documentary. Hosted four guidebook authors who published editions with >1 0.000 sold copies. Four independent trips with embedded journalists and bloggers run by Zbulo.

Events

Organisation and execution of a week long trip with nine journalists for the partner.
Presentation at Globetrotter, Germany’s largest outdoor retailer, event series.
